Frequently Asked questions
What services do you offer? What makes your business different?
I have a scientific background so I look for proven, well-researched strategies to develop treatment plans that have proven successful for the issues my clients have. I offer sports/medical, swedish, and deep tissue massage.
What was your inspiration for starting this business?
With our busy lives, stress is causing havoc on our bodies. I want to help people relax and be able to heal. Achieving balance between personal lives and professional lives is very important to your health.
What do you love most about your job?
I love watching my clients come in looking tired and achy then leave looking much less pained. I get very excited when my clients take a nap on my table and appear totally relaxed when they leave--it means I did my job right!
What is the best reaction you've ever gotten from a customer?
The best feedback I've received is when my client fell asleep on the table and went into deep REM sleep! I loved that!
Should I hurt?
No. Some muscular soreness or tenderness (like after an intense workout) is normal especially after a deep tissue or medical massage but it should not last more than 1-2 days. Generally, you should not feel pain while being massaged. If you are, please let me know--I can adjust my working pressure to a more comfortable level.
What does LMT stand for?
LMT stands for Licensed Massage Therapist. That means that I have met the regulatory requirements in the start of Florida in order to practice massage therapy. Those requirements can be found here. The MA number by my name is my license number. It can be confirmed at the Florida Board of Massage website. Each establishment is required to be licensed as well--that's the MM number you see by my work address.
Do You take credit cards?
YES! It is no longer 1999 and credit cards are ubiquitious and cash is...not so common. I accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and AMEX through a Square reader.
